I am looking at the effects the National Student Survey (NSS) is having on Higher Education. Anecdotal evidence suggests the survey is impacting on student/staff relationships, assessment practices and the morale of teaching staff. Institutional managers find the survey useful but what do staff think about how the survey is used and the impact it is having on them? I am interviewing staff in humanities departments to find out more.
This is my first blog post. I will shortly be posting extracts from interviews here with links to other relevant sites and sources.
